We are a team of technologists and designers who love the web and this service is a result of customer demand and the success we have experienced over the years in building up businesses online. Providing SEO and SEM services is a logical progression in our repertoire of internet services.
Contrary to popular opinion, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is not just getting a website up on page #1 on Google, Yahoo or Bing. Rather its the process of getting visitors to contact you and turning traffic into actionable leads. We take a holistic view towards our customer websites and think from both a business owner and a prospective customer’s point of view before performing any services.
At times we, study traffic patterns on websites for several weeks before creating an SEO/SEM strategy for a client. We believe that understanding a client’s business is crucial towards achieving success on the internet. To that effect, our leadership team has advanced degrees in management and have managed several successful businesses. We understand what can have direct effects on a business’s bottom line and what is likely to be a complete waste of time.
Based in Manhattan, we understand the U.S. market really well and with a client base from all over the world we have a global view of how people in various parts of the world interact with the internet. This insight gained after nearly a decade of working on online projects for some of the largest business names in the world helps us develop internet marketing plans for clients that succeeds without experimenting with your time and money.

RANJAN S. CHARI
FOUNDER & CEO
A tech aficionado with an entrepreneurial streak, Ranjan brings over 10 years of dedicated information technology and interface design experience gained in consulting, direct sales and product development roles. Ranjan has conceptualized and implemented diverse technology and design solutions for leading advertising, pharmaceutical and finance companies, government agencies and non-profits. He is responsible for managing the execution of all design, software and internet related engagements for the company.
He holds an M.S. in Internet Engineering from Marlboro College and an M.B.A from the University of South Australia. Ranjan is a published travel photographer (click for portfolio) and a history buff specially interested in the coinage and history of the Indian sub-continent.
RAJ K. BHATIA
MANAGING PARTNER
Raj couples a degree in electrical engineering degree with an M.B.A in finance focusing on both the implementation of technology in creating business solutions and the online strategy for Big Apple Design’s customers.
With a strong background in technology, Raj has been an early investor in many technology companies, and founded Coolaudio.com which was acquired by Netgain in 2002. Raj has been featured in multiple publications including The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Observer, Bloomberg Personal, India Abroad, Inc. Magazine, Hampton’s Magazine, Crains New York Business, The Industry Standard, Silicon India, Entrepreneur’s Business Start Ups, Entertainment Weekly, USA Today’s Technology Lane, Interactive Media and Marketing, Investment Dealers Digest, The Absolute Sound, Stereophile Magazine, and the Columbia Business School Alumni Magazine. He’s also been a guest on CNBC’s Street Signs with Ron Insana and CNNfn’s Entrepreneurs Only with Tony Guida. Most recently, Raj has been featured on Fox Business News, NPR, and the CBS evening news.
Raj is a 1987 graduate of Lehigh University with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Economics, and a 1995 M.B.A. in finance from Columbia Business School. Raj is an instrument rated pilot, a licensed amateur radio operator, an avid squash player and enjoys fly-fishing. He was born in London England, grew-up in Northern New Jersey, and resides both in Manhattan and Southbury, CT with his wife Darcy and sons Remy Alexander and Jesse Taylor.
TOBY ROSSER
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
A graduate of the Pratt Institute, New York, Toby has over 10 years work experience with on line and traditional marketing initiatives for clients such as Sony Corp of America, Discovery Communications, Pepsico, and Priceline.com. With work experience in interactive firms, ad agencies and marketing firms, Toby has gained extensive knowledge of branding through user experience and effective interface design.
A background in Graphic Design and the Fine Arts has added to Mr. Rosser’s aesthetic approach to developing interactive products. He has lead design and architecture teams on corporate, real estate and entertainment initiatives.
